Freddy is the son of Jody Louie and attends SOSS in grade eleven. He has been given a unique opportunity for a high school student to learn the plumbing trade during the construction of the new school.

Career Prep counsellor Rod Kitt says Freddy is also been enrolled in a Foundational Plumbing (pre-apprentice) course at Okanagan College – starting next July – this program to give a boost  in knowledge and entails the completion of Grade 12 as well.

This course – once complete – allows students to choose a specialty in one out of three areas: gas fitting, sprinkler systems or plumbing.
