Tours of the local schools went well with Mayor Igarashi presenting gifts to the Link crew for their participation in disaster relief efforts etc. Kudos to Fire Chief Dan Skaros for a great tour of the Firehall and for answering many questions. Consideration arose regarding the possibility of sending some Bandai firefighters to train in Oliver at the Spring Training Seminar.

Ernst-Ulrich Maas was generous with his time explaining operations at Transwest Helicopters and showing them his warbird. A tour of Riverside Greenhouses explained a changeover to certified organic operation and everyone got a taste of fresh cucumbers.

Finally the delegation was given a tour of Machial’s Packinghouse on Rd. 9.Rick Machial explained things thoroughly and sliced up some crisp Fuji and Ambrosia apples for a taste test.
