On October 26, 2012 the Osoyoos RCMP received a call of a theft of vehicle from the Buy Low Foods parking lot in Osoyoos. The registered owner had parked his 1973 Chevrolet Camaro in the parking lot and briefly went inside to shop. Approximately 8 minutes later when done shopping the car was gone. The car is grey in colour and at the time had BC licence plate 966RSG attached.
On October 26, 2012 the Osoyoos RCMP received a call of a theft of two puppies from an address on Meadowlark Drive in Osoyoos. Both puppies, one an Australian Shepherd and the other a Bernese Mountain Dog are 5 weeks old. Both dogs went missing from the fenced property sometime overnight. The dogs were suspiciously returned during the evening of October 29, 2012 and left in a box outside of the owners house.
On October 26, 2012 the Osoyoos RCMP received a call of a mischief to a vehicle on 26th Avenue in Osoyoos. The vehicle windows had been smashed and an accusatory message was written on the vehicle which leads police to believe this was a targeted attack on the home owner.
On October 27, 2012 the Osoyoos RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Main Street near 45th Street. An east bound vehicle towing a 5th wheel trailer was turning left from Main Street onto 45th Street when a 2005 Mazda 3 attempted to over take the truck and trailer colliding with the trucks driver’s side door. There were no injuries reported and only minor damage to each vehicle.
Reminder to drivers to be extra vigilante and watch for children as they trick or treat throughout the Town of Osoyoos and the Regional District. As well, a reminder to those trick or treating to be safe. Carry lights or reflectors and watch for traffic before running out into the street.
