On October 22, 2012 at 07:41 Hours the Oliver RCMP responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle incident. The driver of the 1985 Toyota 4Runner indicated that he temporarily lost attention while he was north bound near the junction of Highway 97 and Tucelnuit Drive (Oliver) and crossed the center line into on coming traffic. The driver further advised that he saw a vehicle southbound and that he over corrected and started to swerve and eventually went off road right into the ditch at the side of the road. The vehicle that the 22 year old male was operating was demolished and un-repairable. Minor non-life-threatening injuries were sustained by the driver and his 23 year old passenger.
On October 23, 2012 Oliver RCMP received a report of a stolen trailer from a local business owner who reported that his 2008 Mirage Car Hauler black tilt deck trailer with 3000 lb winch was stolen from his back yard/lot around two weeks ago.
