Together :) Wai Lim Limpt.. Chief Jonathan Kruger
Jonathan Kruger has served for 4 years and his leadership has been confirmed in a balloting process today in Penticon. The next process is the election of a new council.
Kruger was challenged by councillor Laurie Wilson, Arnie Baptiste, Lavern Jack, Joe Johnson and Joseph Baptiste.
The band will select six councillors. This system allows anyone who does not win in the first race to get nominated for the council positions.
Present councillors are: Joseph Pierre, Joan Gabriel, Tim Lezard, Clinton Gabriel, Laurie Wilson, Kevin Gabriel, Joan Phillip and Naomi Gabriel.
Chief Kruger says he has really enjoyed being chief and serving his people
