Actual Denman Cinemas seating portrayed

In a committee report scheduled to be discussed Wednesday night, it is disclosed that the Denman Cinema at 1737 Comox closed its door September 30th and School District #53 has acquired the seating for $0. Shipping will be the one cost involved in the transaction.

The seating was installed less than two years ago by new movie house operators. Recently the landlord issued a notice to vacate so that the building could be used for other purposes.

Naz Jamshedian and husband Mike took over management of Denman Cinemas less than two years ago, replacing the carpets, bringing in new seating and investing in a brand new projector system.
