What a treat it is to taste hot apple juice right from the crusher. Dave and Jean Evans have lots of apples and thought out loud – “let’s try something different” and did so on their Road 15 farm south of Oliver.

They contracted Kristen Trovato of Vernon to bring her press to Oliver and crush 8 bins of apples ( Jonagold, Kobau, Okana and Gold Gala Aurora ).

2000 litres of apple juice produced Thursday for sale in the next year. The product pasteurized and packaged with a shelf life of a year.

Juice in the 5 litre box sells for $12 to $15. The Evans’ will market the juice locally and at the Osoyoos Farmers Market.
