Picture shows a view to the west on School Avenue near front entrance to OES. Both parents and administration are quite concerned about the safety of children during the drop off and pick up times each school day.

A school bulletin says: “We have observed some dangerous driving in front of OES…such as

1. Speeding through the school zone and in the bus lanes
2. U-turns in the intersection in front of the school entrance
3. Driving against traffic to park on wrong side of the road
4. Dropping students off in the middle of the street
5. Parking in bus lanes and blocking emergency vehicle access”

The school has asked the Town of Oliver for help and hopes that a new plan can be created to solve the problems.
