Elizabeth Echlin

April 16, 1925 – September 15, 2012

On Sunday, September 15, 2012 Mrs. Elizabeth Moir Echlin formerly of Oliver passed away peacefully at Williams Lake Hospital at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Grant originally from Scotland, husband Bruce, her brother James and John, her sisters Nellie, Ann and Margaret. Betty will be fondly remembered by her loving family Terry (Lynda/Vicki Jo), granddaughters Tracey (David) and Kelly (Jeremy); Cathy (Grant) and grandsons Norman and Grant (Debbie); John (Susan) and granddaughters Kelsey, Courtney and Kaylyn; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Moir Grant was born April 16, 1925 in Merrit BC. She moved to Oliver in the early 1940’s and worked in the S.O. Supply Store. She married Bruce Echlin in 1948 and had three children, Terry, Cathy and John. Betty was a homemaker until her children were older – then worked with her husband Bruce and son John at Echlin Insurance. A memorial service will be held on October 6, 2012 at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society are gratefully accepted.
