Bill Miller, born in Scotland, sailed to Canada after four years of cruising the world in the Merchant Marines. He arrived in Kitchener to join his older brother. Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital hired him as an ambulance driver.

Sandra Cragg from Chatham, Ontario  was beginning her third year as a student nurse.

The couple met on the hospital ward where they were assigned. Within three weeks they knew their future was together.

Fifty years later they celebrate their love for each other and their wonderful family Scott, Jeff, Denise, Hunter, Blake and Bailey.
