On Friday September 14 – Earl Edmund Proulx of Bridesville passed away surrounded by family at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his parents Fred & Verna Proulx; his father and mother-in-law George & Ruth Shamber; brothers-in-law Clem Huot, Steve & Pat Shamber and sister-in-law Carol Hansen.
Earl will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Dolores; children Bob (Roxanne), Roxanne and Dan; grandchildren Travis (Erin) and Melissa (Cory); sisters Fern (Lloyd) Keller, Evelyn Huot, Sheran (Ross) Krafte; brother Raymond; sisters-in-law Janice and Loraine as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Over the years, Earl was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for many companies. In 1976 he became owner/operator of Proulx Transport. On retirement he enjoyed helping farmers and ranchers. Earl had many toys and parts for equipment. He enjoyed repairing or inventing ways to help all make things work. Earl loved to hunt, fish, swim, quad, ski, ride horses and golf. He travelled to many places for work and play. A service of remembrance will be officiated by Pastor Ed Brouwer at 1:30 P.M. Saturday October 6, 2012 at the Bridesville Community Hall.
