ORL settles with union – contract ratified

Okanagan Regional Library Board

 

At the September 19 meeting of the Okanagan Regional Library’s Board of Trustees, Board members:

 

  •        Approved a memorandum of agreement with CUPE Local 1123.  The three year agreement includes wage increases of 1.5% as of January 2011, 1.5% as of January 2012, and 1.5% as of January 2013.  The Board will also pay for 70% of the cost of dental insurance premiums starting in October 2012, and 75% starting in October 2013.
  •        Elected Carol Zanon as the Library Board Chair, and Jim Edgson as Vice Chair.
  •        Approved a new job description for the Executive Director’s position.
