On September 5, 2012 police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the Osoyoos Plaza. An 87 year old female resident of Osoyoos was in the parking lot of the Osoyoos Plaza when she inadvertently stepped on the gas peddle of her 1995 Chrysler Cirrus and accelerated out of control into the Interior Savings Credit Union drive-thru hopping a curb and striking the building before coming to rest against a second curb. The elderly driver was fortunate to not receive any injuries. Her vehicle was not so lucky as it received extensive front end drivetrain damage. As well both front airbags deployed.
On September 5, 2012 police responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Bullmoose Road on Anarchist Mountain. The 53 year old male driver and sole occupant from Creston, BC was west bound on Highway 3 when he lost control on a corner and went off road crashing into a tree. The male suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. His 1999 Infinity QX4 received considerable damage.
On September 9, 2012 police received a report from KAM Flight centre that they had lost contact with a Cessna 172 plane near Osoyoos. Police attended to the Osoyoos Airport where they located the owner of the plane. The pilot had simply forgot to close the flight plan and all was okay.
On September 10, 2012 a break and enter was reported to a residence on Sasquatch Trail in the regal Ridge subdivision. A window was smashed and numerous items were removed from the house. A vehicle was observed in the area of which police are looking into to see what connection it may have had if any to the B & E.
