Here is a mix of pictures I took downtown Sunday morning. They are not great works of art, but they do show the wonderful colours and unique architecture to be found along the main street of our friendly little town. After so many folks complained about the colour schemes used to liven up the downtown area for the past 5 to 10 years, I feel the entire process was a fantastic success!! Both the colours and variety of store front designs are quite original and inviting – a far cry from the “cookie cutter” styles one finds in many of the newer buildings in some towns.
It’s great fun seeing so many good photos being posted on the Oliver Daily News lately. Thanks for giving us all a “forum” like this through which we can share our successes and luck, and celebrate our hobby and passion.
Photo and story by John Chapman. More Chapman pictures around town later.
