The Dog Days of Summer event is taking place at See Ya Later Ranch – south of the bridge at Okanagan Falls – on Saturday – September 1st from 12 noon – 4 pm.

This event is a fundraiser for the BCSPCA – Admission is by donation and all proceeds go toward the care of dogs. Come up to the ranch for a dog focussed afternoon of live music, wine tasting, retail therapy and the Doggy Fashion Show!

On Sept. 1, Covert Farms will hold an obstacle-style adventure race titled Freak’n Farmer.

The 12 km race for ages 16 and up will start on the grass runway on the property and end at the organic market. There will be several muddy farm style obstacles along the way, but they will not be revealed until race day. In the morning there will be a smaller version of the event for kids. The day’s activities will raise money for the South Okanagan Children’s Charity. 200 participants are expected for the inaugural race. He expects it will grow, with people wanting to come back year after year.
