House destroyed. Covered by insurance so says Joe Louie who let ODN tour the site of Tuesday’s early morning fire. Two adults and four children got out safely when fire started in a building to the west of the main house. It had no electricity and was not joined to the house – it had been built and designed to be used as a music studio for the kids. The house at 35152 Inkameep Rd off Black Sage has a tremendous view to the north and will be rebuilt once the insurance claim is settled says Louie. He and his wife Tiny pictured outside the gutted house this morning.
The couple is looking for a 4-5 bedroom house in Oliver or Osoyoos to rent for about a year. You can call 250-408-9544.
You can drop off clothing to the Osoyoos Indian Band Office/Health Centre. Furniture donations would be welcomed but not until a house is rented.
The Louie’s would like to thank Dora Stelkia and Ronnie McGuiness for all their help and many others including the Oliver Search and Rescue and Oliver Fire Department.
