Below – The RipOff Artists shown at Monday night’s reception – all dressed in black & white ready to start the week long challenge adding colour to Ansel Adam’s photo of San Francisco warehouses. The artists are dedicating this year’s challenge to one of their own. Thea Haubrich, the encaustic artist suffered a devastating stroke 2 weeks ago and is unable to join in. There is a card for everyone to sign for Thea at the show in the Quail’s Nest.
So far this week there have been a lot of visitors to the show – locals and tourists alike taking in the creative endeavors of each artist, each proficient in their own media. Everyone is invited to come out and watch them work to beat the deadline. The final bell rings at 3:00 pm on Saturday at which time the artists are to have completed their project for this year.
