A Penny Donated is a Penny Earned
Buy-Low Foods Collects Coins in support of Variety
From now until December 31st, Buy-Low Foods customers are invited to bring in their jars of pennies to donate to Variety – The Children’s Charity. In circulation in Canada since 1858, the penny will be discontinued by the Federal Government at the end of this year.
“We have enjoyed a long and happy relationship with our friends at Variety,” says Albert Lum, Director, Merchandising, for Buy-Low Foods. “The penny won’t be around for much longer, so now is the time to put them to good use. Every dollar that Variety raises goes to help BC kids who have special needs. Buy-Low Foods is committed to giving back to the communities that we serve, and supporting Variety gives us the opportunity to do just that.”
Pennies can be delivered in jars, bags or whatever container is handy.
