“Council has allocated an additional $10,000 for increased policing and Bylaw Enforcement in the area of Gyro Beach and Lions Park and for water safety.

The additional bylaw enforcement will allow for a officer to have exclusive presence in the Gyro and Lions park areas. Additional service will include a ride along with the RCMP boat for water safety infractions covered by bylaw.

RCMP presence will include foot, bike and water patrols.

Bylaw and RCMP services in these areas will start asap with a coordinated effort at identified peak times. RCMP will bill the town for its services. Bylaw service agreement will be amended to recognize these additional costs.”
