Evacuation Alert is in effect.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan Emergency Operation Centre has issued an Evacuation Alert for some residents of the Wilsons Landing area of the potential danger due to the Wilsons Landing forest fire.
Further information will be issued should the situation change or visit the RDCO Emergency website at www.cordemergency.ca .

Cause: Lightning Lightning Caused

Resources • 25 firefighters • 2 helicopters • 2 airtankers Crews have been on site overnight working hard to re-establish containment lines where it was safe to do so.  The fire spread is southward and towards Westside Road.  At this time Westside Road is closed for the safety of the public.
