The BC Coroner’s Service has now released the name of a 32 year old Oliver women who drowned at Gallagher Lake on July 9th.
Charlene Lisa Tale was the name released by the Coroner.
The Coroner’s office says the investigation into her death is ongoing and exact cause of death has yet to be determined. No foul play is in involved.
On July 9th, 2012, at approximately 8:03PM, the Oliver RCMP were notified by BC Coroner Service of a Sudden Death on Gallagher Lake, approximately 5Km north of Oliver, BC. The deceased, a female, was believed drowned after falling out of a paddle boat into the lake sometime between 6 and 6:20PM earlier that evening. Witnesses attempted to perform CPR prior to transporting the victim to South Okanagan General Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased. The primary cause of death is believed to be drowning. The RCMP will be assisting the BC Corners Service with completing their investigation.
