At a meeting of the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society, a motion was passed asking the Town of Oliver for the answer to this question:

Where does private property end on lakefront land and what rights do the public have on the foreshore  below the high water mark?

The society has not had a problem with this matter but seeks the knowledge of exactly where does the public have the opportunity to walk or frolic and the rights of private land owners to say “keep out”.
