WINTER IS COMING: GAMING GRANTS FOR WINTER SPORTS CLUBS
Five local organizations will share $43,535 in Community Gaming Grants from the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development. They are:
· South Okanagan Figure Skating Club – $13,125
· Boundary Figure Skating Club – $5,775
· Grand Forks Figure Skating Club – $9,275
· International Curling Club – $13,560
· McKinney Nordic Ski Club – $1,800
Why this matters:
· Across British Columbia, 281 recipients will share $9,853,697 in the latest round of grants from provincial gaming revenue.
· Community Gaming Grants help local groups provide important services for British Columbia families.
· Grant recipients in this round of funding offer programs in arts and culture, human and social services, and sport.
