Granfondo Axel Merckx will take its second trip through Oliver in as many years. This European style cycling event, one of only two North American stops on the UCI cycling tour, will see approximately 2500 athletes wind their way through the sunny South Okanagan on the 160km course.

6 Aide Stations will be set up along the route. South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce will host one of those at ‘Le Vieux Pin’ on Black Sage Rd and doubles as the lunch stop for the riders.

Route near Oliver Sunday July 8th

Turn off Oliver Ranch Rd – south down Highway to Tucelnuit Drive and Blacksage Rd to Rd 22 and return to Highway, head north and turn left at Rd 5 to the Old Golf Course Rd – back to Twin Lakes on the back road.
