Recently I was asked to give some publicity to a concert event that was designed to raise funds for the local high school. The event was held Sunday afternoon June 24. I asked Rod Kitt from SOSS to give me an idea of how things went:
“How did it go? The band, “The Matinee” was fantastic. The good people at Tinhorn are extremely supportive. The weather cooperated as it was sunny and hot. The people that were there had a great time.
Tickets sold: very few – total approx 50 people.
Funds Raised: Enough to barely cover the costs of the event including sound.
Use of Funds: See above
Unfortunately, the support was not there. I realize the weather did not look good earlier in the day, and there were many people involved in soccer and other activities, but it was an extremely disappointing result given the band, and Tinhorn offered their services at no cost.”
