On June 20th, 2012, Osoyoos RCMP were advised of a prohibited driver complaint. A Police Officer located the driver who was subsequently arrested and his vehicle impounded.
On June 20th, 2012, the Osoyoos Desert Centre reported a theft of solar panels. Penticton Forensics section attended and the Osoyoos RCMP are currently investigating. If anyone has information on this crime please contact the Osoyoos RCMP.
On June 20th, 2012, it was reported that 3 white very large flower pots were stolen from the Peach Hill Fruit Market in Osoyoos. If anyone has information on this theft please contact the Osoyoos RCMP.
On June 21st, 2012, a female reported that her lap top computer and other items were stolen from a porch area of her residence on 74th Ave. Later in the day, the female had located the possible suspects and called the police who attended. The suspects are known to the police and were subsequently arrested. The items were returned to the owner.
On June 22nd, 2012, a male reported his silver and grey, 1994 Kawasaki quad had been stolen overnight from his property on 97th Street. Police spoke to neighbours, but no information to the theft was obtained. If anyone has information on the location of this stolen quad please contact the Osoyoos RCMP.
On June 23rd, 2012, A Police Officer observed a GMC Sierra truck spin it’s tires on 85th St. Investigation determined that driver was impaired by alcohol and the driver was served an Immediate 90 day Roadside Driving Prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
On June 24th, 2012 a Police Officer conducted a vehicle check on 68th Ave. Investigation determined that driver was impaired by alcohol and the driver was served an Immediate 90 day Roadside Driving Prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
On June 24th, 2012, it was reported to Police that a boat was submerged in Osoyoos Lake at the new Marina on Spartan Drive. The 14 foot, 1970’s, yellow and white, Vanguard fiberglass run-about with no motor was extracted from the lake. If anyone has information on the owner of the boat please contact the Osoyoos RCMP.
Police dealt with numerous Noise Bylaw complaints and calls of people being Intoxicated in Public and also drinking in public. Fines in the amounts of $230.00 and $ 115.00 dollars were issued under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
