Not a good day to travel on BC roads

HIGHWAY 1

Closed both directions from Perry River to Revelstoke, due to mudslide.  Crew and equipment on site clearing debris.  Estimated time of opening Monday June 25 and is dependent on continuing rain in the area.  Recommended alternate route Highway 3.  Highways 6 & 23 are not recommended due to delays from high traffic volumes at the Galena and Needles ferries. Please allow additional travel time to reach your destination.  Next Update: 8 am Monday June 25.

HIGHWAY 16

Mud Slide 8 km west of Junction with Highway 5, in Tete Jaune Cache. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

Flooding 26 km east of Junction with Highway 5, in Tete Jaune Cache. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

HIGHWAY 31

Closed in both directions 3 km north of Gerrard Bridge because of Mud Slide. Estimated time of opening is 2 pm Mon June 25th 2012 with a low confidence level.  Next update: 8 am Monday June 25th.

HIGHWAY 97A

Flooding 8 km south of Sicamous. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic for emergency traffic only. Next update: 11 am  Monday June 25.

Closed in both directions 3 km south of Sicamous at 2 Mile Bridge because of Flooding, until further notice. No estimated time of opening is available.
