Officials inSicamous evacuated 33 people after rain-swollen creeks spilled their banks and damaged homes, bridges and highways.
Officials on Shuswap Lake declared a local state of emergency Saturday night and issued a do-not-use water notice for one water system..
Local fire chief Brett Ogino says swollen creeks damaged two bridges and stranded some residents.
RCMP Const. Pat Pyper says a local highway also appears have been washed away in two or three sections.
A flood warning had been issued for the South Thompson River and Shuswap Lake on Saturday.
