A successful Father’s Family Fishing Day was held at Ripley Lake
It was a place of friendly people from Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos and Penticton.
All were pleased with the newly graded road and the signage, good fishing and pleasant weather. The highlight of the day was a little toddler who carried the fish up to the campfire to show her mom, and promptly threw it into the fire to cook. There was another toddler from Oliver that stood beside the side of the road directing the traffic so she could continue playing in the creek.
It was a very worthwhile adventure for all concerned. There were cookies and marshmallows for all the children.
The wharf you see in the picture was constructed by the South Okanagan Sportsmen’s Association.
