1. First and second readings were given to Bylaw 1325 which will see a lot integrated into the Green Acres Manufactured Home site on Park Drive next to Sunnybank. The application by Protea Holdings at 6613 Park Drive will now go to a public hearing.
2. Approval was given in Bylaw 1319 for taxpayers to pay their taxes a head of time in quarterly payments on a similar schedule as water utility bills.
3. A number of lease addendum’s were approved to authorize the supply of water to some General Aviation hangers at the Oliver airport. Units 18, 19, 20, 22 and 23 are effected. In a report to Council Public Works Superintendent Shawn Goodsell also outlined how a number of septic fields had been installed in the past. Council directed staff to notify all concerned that no further independent action should be taken on the airport land with regard to sewers/septic systems until a plan is in place authorized by the municipality.
