On June 04, 2012 an Oliver resident called to report that at some point overnight unknown persons had slashed 2 tires on a vehicle that was parked in 6000 Block of Hillside Street.
On June 04, 2012 an Oliver resident reported that his vehicle, parked overnight in the 5000 Block of Okanagan Street, was rummaged through sometime Saturday night and that a pair of sunglasses and a CD were broken, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.
On June 04, 2012 a number of Oliver businesses reported that at some point overnight their business walls and doors had been spray painted with offensive language and other graffiti. The community as asked to participate in identifying possible suspects by calling the police when suspicious persons are observed in the back alleys. Suspect names can also be provided directly to the police or indirectly through Crime Stoppers. More graffiti was reported in the area of Co-op Avenue and Station Street on June 06, 2012.
On June 05, 2012 a business in the 6000 Block of Main Street reported a break and enter. The front display window had been smashed and that a spool of copper wire appears to have been the target of the theft.
On June 08, 2012 the Royal Canadian Legion reported and Break Enter and Theft that had occurred at some point over night. The complainant advised that a maroon electric scooter was missing from a storage room which had been pried open. A portable bar was damaged on the main floor and the office upstairs was rifled through. The electric scooter was later found in the channel behind the Visitor Center.
On June 09, 2012 Oliver RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a Portable at the South Okanagan Secondary School. A video projector valued at $750 and an Apple TV valued at $100 were stolen from the classroom. On June 10, 2012 a YO male was arrested in a stolen vehicle in Osoyoos. In his possession at the time of the arrest was the stolen video projector and Apple TV from the SOSS B&E.
On June 09, 2012 Oliver RCMP received a report of a theft from vehicle that had occurred overnight in the 8000 Block of 368th Avenue. Stolen were two pairs of sunglasses, a CD case and some other random items.
On June 10, 2012 at 1936 Hours Oliver RCMP responded to report a male peaking under the stall door in the women’s washroom at the Oliver Theater. Subsequent patrols resulted in the arrest of an adult male who was on conditions for a similar offence out of Penticton from December, 2011. This suspect was held in custody and is slated to appear in Penticton Court on June 11, 2012.
