Brian Douglas Louie, 33, of Oliver has been remanded in custody until June 13th at which time he will see a judge for the first time since being charged with 5 criminal chargs including aggravated assault.

Louie was to appear via video from the Kamloops Regional Remand Centre but this did not happen. After his arrest Louie waived his rights to a first appearance.

Two serious criminal charges were laid after an  incident on OIB land Sunday May 20th that involved a women known to him.

The 3 other charges laid are not related to the May 20 incident.

RCMP called the incident “domestic violence”.
