School District # 53 Secretary/Treasurer Re-elected as President of BC Association of School Business Officials (BCASBO)
The Boards of the Okanagan Similkameen and Gold Trail School Districts are pleased to announce that Ms. Lynda Minnabarriet, Secretary Treasurer, was elected for a second consecutive year President of the BC Association of School Business Officials (BCASBO) at the recent Annual General Meeting held in Penticton.
BCASBO is the professional association of business officials working in school districts and represents and supports members in their leadership roles that focus on the success of each student in British Columbia. The association also works closely with the Ministry of Education and other education partners to provide input and recommendations related to funding and operational matters.
Ms Minnabarriet has been Secretary Treasurer for the Gold Trail School District since 2002. For the last two years Lynda has worked as Secretary Treasurer for both Gold Trail and Okanagan Similkameen in a Shared Services model; a model which strives to ensure quality administration services to small districts.
Okanagan Similkameen Board Chair, Marieze Tarr commented, “On behalf of SD 53 we would like to congratulate Lynda on her re-election as BCASBO President. We are very supportive of her continued leadership role with BCASBO. She has proven herself to be a very collaborative leader in our district who always strives to keep the board well informed. We are proud of her and wish her well.”
