AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SANITARY LANDFILL OPERATIONS AT OLIVER, OKANAGAN FALLS AND PENTICTON

The RDOS is mandated to provide efficient, environmentally sound disposal of solid waste materials within the Oliver, Okanagan Falls and Campbell Mountain Sanitary Landfill Service Areas. The current service contract expires May 31, 2012. An RFP process was completed. The Board authorized the Chair and the Chief Administrative Officer to execute the following contracts:

Sanitary Landfill Operations for Campbell Mountain Sanitary Landfill in the amount of $525,000 plus applicable taxes to SSG Holdings Ltd.

Sanitary Landfill Operations for the Oliver Sanitary landfill in the amount of $172,837.94 plus applicable taxes to B&B Group Ventures Inc.

Sanitary Landfill Operations for the Okanagan Falls Sanitary Landfill in the amount of $388,500 plus applicable taxes to Wildstone Construction and Engineering Ltd.

DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

3207 Highway 97—Electoral Area ‘C’ – Development Variance Permit application to allow for a reduced interior parcel line setback for construction of a new fruit packing facility and a variance to permit in- creased height for an accessory dwelling on the second floor.
