On May 14, 2012 Oliver RCMP received a report of an erratic/possibly impaired driver driving southbound on Hwy 97 near Tuc-El-Nuit Drive. The complainant stated a grey Ford pickup was swerving on the road, almost hitting curbs when approaching Oliver. Police patrols resulted in contact with the driver who was not impaired but was suffering from fatigue as a result of just finishing a night shift in Penticton. Members of the traveling public are reminded that driving while fatigued is as dangerous as driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
On May 14, 2012 Oliver RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to a garage located at 37000 71st St, Oliver, BC. The property owner reported that a garage on the property was entered and that approximately $900-1200 worth of tools were stolen from his work bench, including an impact air gun, 4 sets of wrenches and 6 or so screwdrivers.
