Poul Falkenholt

May 8, 1920 – May 6, 2012

On Sunday May 6, 2012, Mr. Poul Aage Falkenholt of Oliver passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a short illness at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth in 1997. Poul will be fondly remembered by his loving family including his son Kurt (Heather) of Burnaby; daughter Kate of Kamloops and his best friend and companion Kay. Poul, Ruth and their two young children left their home in Denmark to begin a wonderful life in Canada. They arrived in Oliver in January 1949 where Poul began his life-long work as an orchardist. Poul was an avid outdoorsman and was an active member of the South Okanagan Sportsman’s Association for many years. In his later years, Poul enjoyed frequent bus tours with his many friends.
