On May 16, 2011 – “Brittany Michaud was helping her sister Kayla with the Oliver Half Ironman when she did not look good and Kayla knew something was wrong and called us right away.

Bernie and I took her to the hospital in Oliver where they found fluid on her heart. Then our roller coaster ride began.”  Shawna Michaud

December 1st Brittany received a new heart from a donor at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.

Tuesday’s event at Tuc-el-nuit School honoured her and her brother Brandon – they both ran 500 metres in the 2nd day of events for the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary relay in the South Okanagan. Two events held Tuesday – one at Sen Pok Chin and the other an assembly at TEN Elementary.
