“It’s been a fantastic spring, watching my client list grow, and watching local groups develop a stronger Internet presence,” said Laurena Weninger, from Oliver’s Write this Down Freelancing.
One of Laurena’s newest clients is the Osoyoos Desert Society. www.desert.org
“I’m so excited… It’s my favourite website to date!” said Laurena, laughing. “But I have to admit I say that each time I build a new site. Each one becomes my favourite, especially when I get to see a happy client.”
Laurena started her website design and development business about a year ago. She has since given new life to the websites of many local organizations and businesses. Some of her favourites over the past year include the Osoyoos and District Museum Society (www.osoyoosmuseum.ca), Oliver’s very own Nothin’ But Net Basketball camp (www.nbnbasketball.com), the Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society (www.olwqs.org) and the Wine Country Racing Association (www.winecountryracing.ca).
She has also had a few clients who are developing their own websites, but needed a few of the “extras.” That has included custom template work for those using WordPress; some basic coding work for clients who needed help with the technology; and assisting clients who are using her as a locally-based, competitively-priced Internet Service Provider.
