Numbers up for ‘Hike for Hospice’ – $12 thousand raised

Over a hundred walkers registered for a walk northward along the’ Hike and Bike’ trail. Donations and pledges up as well. Event organized by the Desert Valley Hospice Society – its members and sponsors.

Janet Shaw: Thanks for your support at yesterday’s Hike. I can give you an estimate for this year’s event revenue @ about $12,000.

We have some more pledges and donations to come in yet and we have not finalized our expenses which are advertising, insurance and a few miscellaneous costs for the food. We did have about 20 more people out and it looks like we are up about $1000 dollars over last year’s net profit.
