Directors of the Oliver Park and Recreation Society approved the following Monday night:

1. Grant in aid to Okanagan Boys and Girls Club for the use of the park  August 26th for Moolight Movie Night – 3rd annual – a fund raiser for the Youth Centre. Grant in aid only $103.00

2. Final approval for construction of a Band Shell by the Kiwanis Club was granted. It was decided that the addition of washrooms to the building would be too costly but security screening on the front of the bowl was endorsed. Exact siting of the band shell will be outlined later.

3. Some discussion on grants-in-aid and fees for service contracts including a large one of $3500 to the Oliver Community Arts Council. Staff have been asked to bring back recommendations on this particular annual grant which is used by the OCAC to getting matching funds from the province. Director Allan Patton suggested it might be something that could be better funded by the Heritage joint services agreement rather than Oliver Community Parks.
