South Okanagan Toastmasters hosted the annual Area International Speech Contest Tuesday night!  There were 3 competitors from the South Okanagan, competing in the International Speech Contest.  This contests goes all the way to International Best Speaker – Toastmasters International Conference this year will be held in Orlando Florida where people from all over the world will be competing for International Best Speaker.  I am happy to announce that I won last night! (kind of feel like I am tooting my own horn!!!)

Next, I will be going to Nelson to compete at the Division Level, and from there the winner will go to District, which is all of B.C.  This years conference will be held at Harrison Hot Springs.  (Last year District Conference was held at Spirit Ridge in Osoyoos and was an amazing success!!!) Toastmasters is an amazing program that is for all types of speakers!  Even if you are not afraid of speaking, Toastmasters provides many opportunities to fine tune your presentation and helps you developed amazing leadership skills!  I am definitely looking forward to division conference in Nelson B.C., and am hoping to go onto District…. and from there, one never knows!!!!
