Full Moon is 1:39 PST on Thusday morning. Just nearby, the reddish “Star” is the planet Mars which right now is at its closest to Earth and directly opposite the Sun. Across the sky to the west, Venus and Jupiter are very close to each other and will be so for the next few weeks, on the 15th will be 3 degrees apart, then Venus will begin to sink towards the Sun and be lost from the evening sky. Mercury is very low in the west and is difficult to see as it sets before it is dark enough to spot it but by going east out of the valley, it may be visable near the horizon below Venus around 6.45
The Spring Equinox will be March 19th here on the west coast, early due to it being a leapyear
March 26th, when the Moon come around the earth again, it will be less than 2 degrees from Venus, lets hope it will be a clear night
