Osoyoos RCMP General Release 2012-02-20
2012-02-14 a local reported that while parked at the Osoyoos Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot someone placed 2 nails up against the front and rear driver’s side tires of his vehicle. The vehicle driver suspected a male he had seen in the area who he then spoke to about the incident.
2012-02-17 a vehicle was reported stolen from Osoyoos. The 1980 Brown Olds 98 with BC license plates 851-XCM was unlocked at the time and had a spare set of keys inside of it when it was stolen from the Jonagold area of Osoyoos.
2012-02-17 a 1997 Dodge Neon was impounded by Police when the driver was found not to have a valid driver’s license.
2012-02-18 Police responded to a call that a neighbour’s garage door was open while the neighbour’s were known to be away on holidays. Police checked the garage and house and found everything okay and the garage door was secured.
2012-02-18 Osoyoos RCMP members assisted BC Ambulance with a female possible drug overdose. The female was transported to South Okanagan General Hospital by BC Ambulance.
2012-02-19 at approximately 4:00 am, Police responded to a disturbance call of people screaming and possibly fighting on Spartan Drive. 5 males were spoken to by Police with one being arrested for Causing a Disturbance in public. The male was later released and all the subjects went home.
2012-02-19 it was reported to the Police that a resident of the Oasis RV Park found nails placed under the front and rear passenger tires of their vehicle. No suspects were identified from this incident.
2012-02-19 at approximately 11:20 am, a male was seen rummaging inside a car in the McDonalds parking lot. The owner of the car saw the male and chased him down to speak with him. The male suspect denied being in the car and he left the area in a truck with Alberta license plates. Once Police were notified patrols were made for the truck but it was not found. The matter is still under investigation.
