Fernande Forcier

November 11, 1923 – February 4, 2012

 

On Saturday February 4, 2012, Mrs. Fernande Marie (Ferdy) Forcier (nee Finnigan) of Oliver passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family at the age of 88 years. Ferdy will be fondly remembered by her loving family including husband of 68 years Anthony “Pat” Forcier; her five children: Richard (Leslie), Allan (Roni), Julie Rose, Frances (Dave) Demchuk and Linda (Doug) Woods; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends. Ferdy enjoyed a long career of thirty three years at the Okanagan Similkameen Co-op. She was very active in her faith and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for twenty seven years. Ferdy also volunteered her time at Sunnybank and McKinney Place ECU. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Gabriel at 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 9, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. A reception hosted by the CWL in the church lower hall will follow the mass.
