Cay Shannon

SHANNON, Catherine Ann: Born in Penticton on February 5, 1920 and peacefully passed away in Oliver on February 1,2012. She was predeceased by her true love Bob (RJ) on April 21, 2000 and her brother Jim McRae in October 1992. Cay is survived by her three sons, Bob (Naidene), Ross (Colleen) and John (Mickee); six grandchildren, Sarah (Ben), Bob, Jennifer (Paul), Erin (Anthony), Jake and Maja; and four great-grandchildren, Solomon, Annie, Deacon and Winston. Cay will always be remembered as a remarkably strong woman who loved her husband, family and friends. Cay also had a deep commitment to her community. A special thank you to the staff at McKinney Place Extended Care Unit and all of her friends for their friendship and support. Memorial service for Cay will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Oliver United Church with Rev. Ray Turner officiating.
