Hornets vs Penticton Lakers “shoe game”
It was a nail biter with a good ending. Oliver was down by 45-28 at half time. In the third quarter the Hornets brought it to 72-58 but the outset did not look favourable. In the last half, Gurkamal Dhaliwal hit (5) three pointers, and Greet Gill stepped off the bench from injuries to contribute four 3 pointers as well.
With 4 minutes left, Oliver was only up by 4. Final score was 91-85 and the Shoe, for the 6th time, will remain in Hornet territory.
The highlight of the game was Josh Tester, a honourary Hornet, was allowed to play portions of the game, including a tip off. He scored 2 points at the free-throw line as his contribution to the team efforts.
