Contractors for Greyback Construction began this week to remove the basement and foundation of the old SOSS building gutted by fire September 12th. Once the material is removed or ground-up on site – the soil can be levelled and prepared for construction. Official word from the SD #53 is that funding for the new school has not be finalized as yet. All expectations are for a new school to be complete by September 2013.
