I promised Linda a Ship in a Bottle back in 1972.
I had carved nothing more than the hull, masts and spars before the civic election and then I had all the time in the world to fiddle around and mount the masts spars, attach the sails and rigging and get it in the bottle.
One compromise: my hull and masts and spars would not fit into the bottle so I had to cut off about 1 ½ inches of the neck.
