On December 14, 2011, an Oliver business owner reported a B&E to his business located in the 8900 347a ave, Oliver. The complainant advised that the lock to an out building was cut and 2 core alternators were taken.
On December 15, 2011 a representative of the Town of Oliver called the Oliver RCMP to report that sometime overnight a vehicle collided with the stop sign at the intersection of 103rd & 101st Street. Subsequently, the stop sign, the pole & the concrete block were all removed from the accident site. Anyone having knowledge of the crash is asked to call the local RCMP and / or the Town of Oliver office.
On December 16, 2011, at approximately 1120 hrs, the Oliver RCMP responded to a 2 vehicle accident located on 348th street, Oliver BC. The 49 year old Oliver driver of the offending vehicle advised that he was turning into Chevron Gas, and in a split second later he collided with a vehicle being driven by a 48 year old Oliver resident. The victim stated he was traveling at 50 kmph when the offending driver turned in front of him unexpectedly. The victim was transported by Provincial EHS to Oliver hospital with complaints of neck & back pain. The other driver was uninjured but was issued a Violation ticket for Fail to Yield to Motor Vehicle.
On December 16th 2011 at 2200hrs, Oliver RCMP responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of 73rd Avenue on Tucelnuit Drive, Oliver. Investigation confirmed that a green pick up that had knocked a power line at that location. Oliver RCMP are presently investigating a Fail to Remain at the scene of an accident. It does not appear at this point that the driver of the vehicle was injured. There do not appear to be other vehicles associated to this event and, it is likely that speed and/or alcohol were precipitating factors. Any witness to this crash are asked to call the Oliver Detachment of the RCMP.
