Former teacher John Chapman seems to be a man in the know acquiring conceptual drawings of the the SOSS.

Hope you had a chance to attend the open house at SOSS Wednesday. What an impressive building it is becoming!!!! The thought processes and planning that have gone into it so far are truly amazing. Mitch Van Aller and his committee are doing a wonderful job. Although we all felt really let down when the “old SOSS rebuild” was lost, I for one (and I’m certain most others will agree when the new SOSS emerges) feel we have gained immeasurably in the long run.

Here are a couple of shots I took during the open house. Pictures show the sketches of the rest of the new buildings. The present IE and music buildings are not shown in these sketches but will be there as well. People should be most impressed, I feel, with the architecture used both for the common area and the entrance to the new Frank Venables auditorium.

Hope you can use some of these as the public will really find them uplifting.
